The mum-of-one invited 300 guests to watch her One Night Only performance for US broadcaster CBS in which she performed tracks from her new album 30 as well as past hits.
Simon and Angelo were both in the audience at the Griffith Observatory to see the star as were guests including Kris Jenner, Drake, Gordon Ramsay and Ellen DeGeneres.
According to a source from Page Six, “[The] songs [were] about being yourself and not caring.”
The star’s debut track from her new album Easy On Me continues to break records and Adele has revealed its inspiration came largely from her divorce.
The singer, 33, initially filed for divorce from Simon in 2019, and it was finalised earlier this year.
The former couple were married for a year before they decided to part ways.
Heart Breakfast’s Jamie Theakston recently asked Adele: “There will be a lot of people listening who have got things in their life that they’re not too happy about, you did something about it.
“You made some big, life-changing decisions, how important was that to you?”
The singer explained: “It was overdue. It was exhausting, it was really hard work but I was able to take the time that I needed, which isn’t a given for everyone, I’m very aware of that.”
A voicemail that features on Adele’s new album is said to lay bare her anguish as she suffered an “anxiety attack” during her divorce.
The singer said one of the tracks contains a message about Angelo, nine, while she was panicking.
She said: “It’s in the song about my son, it’s at the end, in the outro. I was really frightened.
