The two are reunited in the new Matrix movie as Neo and Trinity, though Moss joining Reeves in his John Wick movies could be a chance for an even bigger reunion.
The John Wick films already feature their former Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne as one of the assassin’s allies, The Bowery King, and he is set to take on a bigger role in the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4.
Reeves touched on the possibility of Moss crossing over as well during an interview with People where his co-star was discussing how much she loves the John Wick films.
“I love John Wick,” Moss said. “I really started to understand Keanu’s outrageous gift for telling story through his body. And I didn’t fully understand that until I went deep into John Wick with one of my children.
“It was very bonding for us too. It was amazing to have that experience with my son and to watch the depth that Keanu is able to [create] with his body. It’s really an art form.”
When Reeves asked Moss if she’d “want to play an assassin” in a future John Wick movie, she confirmed: “I’d love it.”
Moss joked that she’d “get practising”, only for Reeves to add: “Let’s get on that… Be careful for what you wish for. I’m on it now.”
It’s unlikely that Moss would turn up in John Wick: Chapter 4 since it was already shot, though studio Lionsgate did recently delay the film’s release nearly a year to March 24, 2023.
