Jonathan Taylor Helps Colts Defeat The Patriots In Saturday Night Football Win

The Indianapolis Colts withstood a 17-point fourth quarter from the New England Patriots to win, 27-17, on Saturday night. Jonathan Taylor, one of the most dynamic running backs in the league, sealed the Colts’ victory with a 67-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.

Taylor accounted for 29 carries, resulting in 170 rushing yards and the long TD run. Carson Wentz, on the other hand, connected on just 5 of 12 passes for 57 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Indianapolis’ defense came up big as it has all season. All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard hassled the Patriots’ offense from start to finish, racking up nine tackles and a pick. With another dominant defensive performance, the Colts have now forced at least one turnover in each of their 14 games this season.

Belichick and the Patriots were held scoreless until the fourth quarter, when Mac Jones found Hunter Henry on back-to-back drives for touchdowns. Jones finished with 299 passing yards, two TDs and two interceptions.

The Colts (8-6) strengthened their postseason hopes while simultaneously making the AFC East playoff race a bit more interesting for the Patriots (9-5).
