Roma Have Submitted An Opening Offer To Sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles And Expect A Reply From Arsenal In 72 Hours

Talks between the Gunners and Roma have been ongoing for a few days now, but the two parties still haven’t reached an agreement.

The Englishman, on the other hand, has already agreed personal terms with the Giallorossi.

José Mourinho has identified the 24-year-old as the ideal back-up for Rick Karsdorp at right-back and is in a hurry to secure his signature.

Roma have made an offer to sign the player on loan with an option to buy for €10m.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Gunners want circa €20m to sell the player permanently at the end of the season and negotiations have reached an impasse.

However, Roma expect a reply from Emirates Stadium in three days, otherwise they will move to a different target, trying to land the first reinforcement for the Special One in the January transfer window.
